Witches Paddle for a Cause Event

Join Mountain Island Lake Paddle Co and Catawba Paddle Co for a bewitching adventure on the water at our inaugural Witches Paddle for a Cause event! Help us fill the local food pantry and animal care and control with food for the holiday season.  Whether you're an experienced paddler or a novice, all witches and warlocks are welcome to participate in this enchanting outing. We will be doing a fun paddle at Mountain Island Lake that will promptly begin at 11am.

Donation Option A: Our local food bank, Angels and Sparrows, needs our help filling this holiday season's food boxes. In need of the following items:

Mashed potatoes (dehydrated) or Au Gratin Potatoes (boxed)

Canned corn or green beans

Canned carrots

Gravy (poultry, envelopes or canned)

Canned yams

Canned pineapple

Cornbread mix

Biscuit mix

Cake mix and frosting

Jellied cranberry sauce

Shelf-stable pie crust and filling

Black or pinto beans (dry)

Rice (uncooked)

Donation Option B: Our local animal care and control is in need of the following items: Kong XL, Extreme Kong, Buddy Budder,Fida Durable Slip Leads, HOMIMP dog slip lead, Friskies Pate wet food variety, pre-loved beds, comforters and blankets. Order items from Amazon-

Cost: FREE with a donation of food or items (rental equipment additional cost)

Registration is required for all participants

Bring your own paddle board or kayak and enjoy. For those in need of equipment, rentals are available at an additional cost:

- $45 per person (includes kayak or paddle board rental) 100% of proceeds will go towards purchasing donations.

Safety is our top priority, so please remember to bring your own personal flotation device (PFD) and a whistle if you have your own equipment. Dress in your spookiest or most whimsical costume and paddle your way into a day of magical fun. We can't wait to see you there!🧙‍♀️🏄🏼 🍁 🎃 🌟🌊
